Workers, in order to protect their hearing, receive training to
ensure they are competent in how to fit an earplug or earmuff
correctly, understand the importance of wearing hearing
protection, and receive a 3MTME-A-RfitTM report. Depending on
the employer/site requirements, recertification and training
should occur once a year or biannually.
